How-to
The shortest path from opening Tention to a recorded take, with nothing optional in the way.
Gets you from a cold open to a saved take in the fewest possible taps.
Open the app. The app lands on the feed. The hero text reads "Record something today." The feed loads two sections: Trending (horizontal scroll of news-based cards) and Go-to topics (numbered list below).
Tap any card or topic row. Tapping a Trending card or a Go-to topic row opens the prompt detail screen. You will see the question in a card labelled "YOUR QUESTION" and a green "Prepare to record" button at the bottom.
Tap "Prepare to record". The camera opens. You land in the prepare state: camera is live, a large round record button sits at the bottom of the screen. A REC pill will appear once recording starts.
Tap the record button to start. The button changes from a circle to a rounded square. The REC pill appears at the top of the screen and counts up. You are recording.
Tap the record button again to stop. The recording ends and you move to the preview screen.
Save or skip the check. On the preview screen you will see two options:
Tap "Skip Check" for the fastest save. Your take goes straight to your library.
The app routes you to your saved video page. You can see the take, share it, or save it to your camera roll from there.
One question a day. Filmed with you, checked against your guidelines, posted everywhere.
